I wanted to drop you a line and let you know how pleased we are at Christ’s Greenfield with the work your firm and particularly the consultant has been doing over the past several months. I’ve been a part of several fund raising campaigns at various churches over the years and have not encountered one with such a Christ-centered and Biblically founded approach as yours. The success we’ve enjoyed would not have happened without the consultant’s leadership, training and mentoring. Your business model of placing staff in the church is, I believe, the only way to ensure the likelihood of success. As I’m sure you are aware, church leaders wear many hats. Their primary responsibility is to expand God’s kingdom through preaching, teaching and ministering to the spiritual needs of his flock, not fundraising. I’ve seen many fundraising programs entered into with well-intended enthusiasm by amateurs with little training and limited potential for success. After a few months they tend to die a quiet death as responsibilities and interests shift. With the consultant’s Christ-centered heart and diligent efforts to maintain our focus, we are fortunate that has not been the case at Christ’s Greenfield. His understated but purposeful approach to training and mentoring staff and leaders has helped ensure the success of our fundraising campaign. Through his leadership we have raised up many individuals to conduct every member home visits, a daunting task considering the size of our church. These visits are two-fold. They have the purpose of ensuring that all members are not only financially committed to our “Live the Journey” campaign but more importantly, that they ask God daily for his blessings on this endeavor. We are very fortunate to have had the consultant’s insight, wisdom and leadership over these past several months and will miss him immensely when he departs. I wanted you to know how much we appreciate your involvement as a firm and the consultant as an individual.

Carmel Lutheran Church kicked off its ‘Hearts Compelled To Share’ capital campaign in record style. As of January 25th just 73 families of the more than 900 in the church had already committed $3.75 million dollars. That total represents not only the best kickoff to a campaign at CLC, it also represents the best campaign in total even though only 8% of the congregation has pledged so far.
The previous best campaign was just four years ago when CLC collected a total of about $3 million in pledges from over 425 donors.
