I am writing to share my feedback on your company’s work on the Strategic Campaign for First Unitarian Church of Providence under the leadership of our JDK&A consultant. I co-chaired the advance phase of the campaign that just ended and am continuing to participate on the campaign’s leadership team. I have been involved in many of the annual budget drives and previous capital campaigns for the church over my 30 years of membership. I admit to have developed a jaded attitude along with low expectations for our community to raise needed funds for capital expenses. However, the process you developed and our consultant’s guidance in implementing it has won me over. I am delighted that we did indeed raise over 50% of the goal in the quiet phase and am confident that we will raise the full amount over the rest of the campaign. With excellent planning, and a proven process for successful pledging visits, I have become a believer in your company’s worth and my community’s ability to be generous. Our Klote consultant has been invaluable in guiding us with thoughtfulness and integrity. I am so glad that the church leaders selected Klote to partner with us on this journey.

Carmel Lutheran Church kicked off its ‘Hearts Compelled To Share’ capital campaign in record style. As of January 25th just 73 families of the more than 900 in the church had already committed $3.75 million dollars. That total represents not only the best kickoff to a campaign at CLC, it also represents the best campaign in total even though only 8% of the congregation has pledged so far.
The previous best campaign was just four years ago when CLC collected a total of about $3 million in pledges from over 425 donors.
