I would like to thank you for all the help, guidance, and direction the Klote firm provided during our recent Capital Campaign at St. Thomas Episcopal Church.  The consultant was a delight to work with.  He was warm, gracious, professional, encouraging, supportive, unflappable, and unfailingly positive.

 

I would like to share with you an anecdote I relayed to the consultant and later to our steering committee.  During one of the trainings that he conducted for visitors, the consultant went out of his way to reassure anxious trainees that we had nothing to worry about with our visits.  In fact, he told us that we would actually enjoy our visits.  “Right,” I said sarcastically to myself as I laughed silently; “No way.”  Well, I probably don’t need to tell you that I was wrong and the consultant was right.  The experience of visiting with St. Thomas members truly ended up being a gift to me.  I enjoyed every one of my visits and still feel grateful for the opportunity to get know parishioners I would not otherwise know and to become closer to people I already knew.  As a matter of fact, I had coffee today with one of my visitees, a person I had not even met until we met over the campaign.

 

Your firm’s process is a remarkable one, and the consultant did a great job of implementing it.  Your methodology produced results in terms of tangible gifts, but perhaps even more importantly it produced results by building Christian community.  Thank you again, and I wish you, your consultant, and everyone in your firm all the best.
