Foothills Church Votes Unanimously to Move Forward with Capital Campaign

Fort Collins, CO – One hundred and twenty-one years ago, Foothills Church was established in Fort Collins, Colorado. Their history of service and outreach to the community is rich with many programs and volunteers.

Beginning September 8th, 2019, a series of seventeen focus group meeting were held to inform and educate the church membership regarding needs and opportunities to promote the vision and mission of Foothills. The meetings were both informative for the church membership as well as for the church leadership, with much discussion about what a new Sanctuary & Chapel, transitions of existing Sanctuary and Social Hall, new office space, new & remodeled classrooms, a new kitchen, expanded parking, a new courtyard, and associated landscaping would look like, and what the required investment may be.

On October 6th, 2019, at the conclusion of the Focus Group Meetings, Board President Sara Steen, along with Rev. Gretchen Haley, announced the membership had voted unanimously to immediately move forward with a Capital Campaign. Sara further remarked, “Our collective power, wisdom, and resources are so much greater than we might imagine. We are thrilled to begin this campaign to find out just how big our impact on this world can be.” Each of the individuals and unique families within the church will be contacted for a personal visit.
