Christ Lutheran Church Votes Unanimously to Proceed with Capital Campaign

Baltimore, MD – 130 years ago, Christ Lutheran Church was established in the heart of South Baltimore, MD. Their history of service and outreach to the community is rich with many programs and volunteers.

Beginning March 2, 2017, a series of fifteen focus group meeting were held to inform and educate the Parishioners regarding needs and opportunities to promote the vision and mission of the Church.

The meetings were both informative for the Parishioners as well as for the church leadership with much discussion regarding renovations to the church exterior, installing a new elevator, stairway, security system, welcome area, integrated office rooms, new commercial kitchen, expanded classrooms, new youth area, expanded and new multi-purpose rooms, and a new third floor area.

On March 28, 2017, at the conclusion of the Focus Group Meetings, the Church Council voted unanimously to proceed with the Capital Campaign.

Each of the individuals and families within the church will be contacted for a personal visit. The church is optimistically hoping to complete the exterior construction this summer and resubmit to their architect for revised plans at the end of the Capital Campaign.
