Alexandria, VA – James D. Klote & Associates (JDK&A) is pleased to announce that the leadership of the Old Presbyterian Meeting House voted to move forward with a capital campaign to address the long-term needs of their church.
A four-week, 12 session Readiness Assessment was conducted to give members an opportunity to participate in shaping the next chapter in the life of the church. The ultimate goal of the Meeting House vision is to preserve their historical church facility and at the same time grow spiritually as a church to impact the community through its programs and ministries.
The Meeting House and its diverse congregation has served the Alexandria community for 250 years. A year long celebration will kick-off in December 2021. From Alexandria’s earliest days, the Old Presbyterian Meeting House has played an important role in the city’s history. From its founding of the Alexandria Academy in 1780 to its Open Table ministry in 2010, the Meeting House remains a strong religious force in the community.
“We are excited to be moving forward with our capital campaign with the help and guidance of James D. Klote & Associates. Their expertise will help us preserve our historic campus and continue to grow our varied ministries for generations to come,” said Pastor Rocky Laha.
Leadership of the Meeting House have asked JDK&A to assist and guide their efforts as their full-time, on-site Christian fundraising firm. JDK&A will serve as a great resource to the Meeting House because they will provide personal attention to help the church meet their needs.
