Episcopal Church Raises Five Times Annual Giving Before Kick-Off Event!

New Smyrna Beach, FL – St. Paul’s Episcopal Church celebrated their “Building for Future Generations” Capital Campaign Kick-Off at an event on Sunday, February 25, 2018.  With the help of the St. Paul’s “Accounting Department” (consisting of eight children holding up number cards), the Steering Committee was overjoyed to announce that $1,029,561 has already been pledged toward the project, representing more than five times their average annual giving.

The goal behind the Capital Campaign, as identified by the Vestry, is to replace the undersized and outdated building used by the St. Paul’s Preschool.

The Preschool has offered quality, Christ-centered education to more than 2,000 children over the past 40 years. As presented at the Kick-Off event, the Capital Campaign will provide funds to upgrade the existing Preschool building, so it can be used as a dedicated outreach center. The Parish Hall will also be replaced, increasing its capacity over 50 percent, allowing adequate space for future generations to fulfill the Great Commission in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.

The visionary leadership of the Rector, Father Rodney, along with Vestry and other key leaders have laid a firm foundation on which to launch this Capital Campaign.  Father Rodney stated, “We are grateful for the generosity and faithfulness of so many here at St. Paul’s.  We have been blessed with strong leadership and a full-time consultant who has moved into town for the duration of our capital campaign.”

James D. Klote & Associates, Inc., a firm specializing in capital funding projects for non-profit organizations, is providing full-time, resident counsel.  Consultant, Dan Reese, is representing the firm.
