Greenwich, CT – Christ Church Greenwich, having completed major renovations to its historic 1910 buildings, returned to its completely renovated sanctuary for a joyous Celebration Sunday worship service on November 8th. A festive brunch followed in the Parish Hall. Parishioners entered via a newly installed elevator across from the Parish Offices and through the updated Narthex beneath the East Putman Avenue Transfiguration windows. The Chancel glows with new illumination, repainted walls and restored choir stalls. A state of the art speech reinforcement sound system, new Nave lighting, and restored pews with new kneelers are among the numerous enhancements.
Thanks to a very successful Capital Campaign, conducted by James D. Klote & Associates (JDK&A), Christ Church Greenwich was able to raise more than their goal of $10 million for restorations and upgrades to their 105-year old buildings, as well as to build up their endowment. “Their campaign theme of Rise Up, Restore, Rejoice! truly exemplifies their resolve,” commented Skip Schlafer, JDK&A Senior Consultant.
