York, PA – The congregation of Advent Lutheran Church unanimously approved a Council motion to “engage the firm of James D. Klote & Associates to direct its Capital Stewardship Campaign and to begin as soon as practicable.” The vote culminated months of preparatory work by the church’s Mission and Mortar team to address needed facility upgrades.
Stephen F. Feldmann, Vice President Wealth Advisory at York’s Wilmington Trust Office, will chair the Capital Stewardship Campaign. Steve has been a member of Advent’s Mission and Mortar team and assisted with Klote & Associates’ Readiness Assessment Study to discern the congregation’s response to the proposed plans. “Advent was at a ministry crossroads. This project will prepare us for future outreach activities and service to our members as well as the greater York community,” commented Steve following the vote.
The Reverend David L. Ritterpusch, Advent’s pastor, enthusiastically endorsed the vote saying “I truly believe the Spirit is calling us to do this work and make the church more welcoming to all. I’m grateful the congregation is moving ahead with this exciting capital stewardship campaign.”
