I would like to take a quick minute to let you know about my interactions and impressions with the consultant and the Capital Campaign process. I serve as the Director of Christian Education at First Presbyterian. First of all, I cannot say enough wonderful things about the consultant and his wife. Right from the start, it was wonderful to have them get so involved in our church family. They are both lovely people who radiate faith and joy in work and in life. Their involvement was loved and noted by many!
The consultant did a wonderful job with leading the campaign. From the get go, he always had a positive attitude that was driven by his faith and his belief that God is in the midst of the campaign process. He was patient with us as we learned more about the process and never seemed discouraged or worried…which was SO HELPFUL! He worked tirelessly behind the scenes to make sure that our ‘stakeholders’ felt well trained and ready to have face to face conversations with their peers about the importance of this campaign. When we would find ourselves feeling a bit bogged down in the ‘asks’, the consultant would encourage us and remind us that living faithfully into God’s vision for our church family and mission takes hard work and determination. The way in which he could quickly identify the gifts of our members speaks very well to his personal leadership style and his commitment to the process. He has a gift in working with people and has the wonderful ability to help identify and build up their talents to be used in the building up of God’s Kingdom.
Thank you for allowing our church family to spend these last 6 months with the consultant and his wife. I treasure our friendship and know that it will continue for years to come!
