I was one of the Focus Group presenters at Christ Church.  I enjoyed participating in the exercise of sharing our vision with our larger church family.  I think the Readiness Assessment benefits the members and the church leadership in several ways:

  • It provides everyone with a common and consistent set of information.
  • It allows for feedback and insights from any member of the congregation (who so chooses to participate in the focus group meetings).
  • It allows for an objective assessment of the situation.  Although it cannot answer definitively, it does help with such questions as, “Is the congregation ready to undertake a capital campaign?” And “What is the likelihood of achieving the necessary level of pledges?”

Thanks for loaning us the consultant and allowing him to lead us through this process.
