Barbara Bates

I met the consultant yesterday and he immediately put me at ease.  His task was to explain the plans for enhancement to our church property, a very expensive proposition.  He did that and then we continued the conversation as if we had known each other before this meeting. When I returned home I wrote a Thank you note to him.

 

I worked for the Bell system for 33 years.  I began as a Telephone operator and retired with two titles; Vice President Nynex Foundation Programs, Director of Corporate and Community Affairs.  Communication was our Business.  I appreciated those who it did it well and now I am 90 years of age and appreciate that talent even more.  I also believe that when one deserves recognition it should be forthcoming.
