First Unitarian Church of Providence, RI Votes to Move Forward With a $2m+ Strategic Campaign

Providence, RI – The Prudential Committee leadership team voted on Feb 16th to continue its partnership with James D. Klote & Associates.  Over the next few months, the “Now More Than Ever” campaign will commence with a goal of $2.6M.  A combination of music expansion, facility renovations, and staff growth will position the church as the “church of the city… and beyond.”

Using the tagline “Sustainable. Accessible. Sustainable. Multigenerational,” church leaders have worked tirelessly over the past two years, bonding together to create a strategic plan for the church that would best serve its members while also expanding outreach to the local community.

“For years, First U has been seeking ways to respond to the changing landscape around us. This an exciting opportunity for us to ensure our relevance and influence in our community and beyond,” said Nancy Forsstrom, Director of Operations.

The campaign will include upgrades to the meeting house, organ, auditorium, and kitchen, while also providing increased staff capacity to manage additional programs

“This exciting initiative will retain the long traditions of First U while laying a strong foundation for future generations,” said Eric Welch, Strategic Campaign Director.

First U will work closely with the church family, the community, and James D. Klote & Associates to undertake this strategic campaign and bring their vision to fruition.
