Richard Yates

My name is Richard Yates, a parishioner at St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church in Rochester, NY. As you know, we’re recently underway with a capital campaign this fall and your consultant has been assisting us over the past month. I’ve long been a proponent of what we’re doing, having served as Warden a few years back and knowing the needs and finances. With Craig and the consultant’s assistance, I’m leading the advance effort over the next month.

I wanted to pass along the highest of compliments to you regarding both your personnel and process. The consultant has been terrific in shepherding our people, ideas, energy and staff. Money and religion are always difficult topics to discuss, but allowing and facilitating people of faith to imagine, participate and act with spiritual grounding is really great to see. The process underway dovetails very crisply with our Rector’s views about injecting spirituality into all workings of the church. I’m very hopeful for a successful campaign outcome and your program combined with your team will no doubt play a large role in that.

I also look forward to reading your book on stewardship (friends involved with the campaign have said its marvelous).
