David Hoppen

I am a parishioner at St. Paul’s Episcopal in New Smyrna Beach and have recently been drawn into helping continue the groundwork laid out by your consultant and your company.  I just want to relay some information that you might want to know.

 

First, at our recent 250^th anniversary celebration (we are the oldest church in Florida) our Bishop stated that he has been involved in many capital campaigns and the fact that our little church was able to get pledges totaling $1,250,000 was astounding to him, considering that churches many times our size were hard pressed to achieve that target.  My wife and I too have been involved in myriad kinds of fund raising over these many years and are frankly astounded by this achievement.

 

I must confess that while I certainly believe in the providence of God and his abundant grace, I also am convinced that he puts people in place to advance His kingdom.  In this case it was your consultant who worked tirelessly on our drive and ingratiated himself into our congregation becoming one of our own.  And trust me, the conversion from Baptist to Episcopalian is no easy feat!

 

The consultant continues to be a true friend to St. Paul’s and our church community and we are grateful for it.  In any event, I just wanted you to know of the deep appreciation St. Paul’s has for him and your company for helping us continue God’s work here in New Smyrna Beach.
