New York, NY – After a successful diocese-wide study of forty four parishes, the Diocesan Council at their annual convention in Cleveland, OH, votes to move forward with a campaign that looks to the future of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of America.
Early in 2016, Archbishop Khajag Barsamian and the Diocesan Council commissioned a diocese-wide study to enlist the input from their priests and parish council members as to how the endowment would be utilized to strengthen the Eastern Diocese, with education, communication, ministry outreach, and securing the future. “The feasibility study was received well by all participants and they were appreciative of the opportunity to participate in the development of the endowment that looks to the future for a stronger Armenian community,” said Mel Kalagian, Senior Consultant with James Klote & Associates. The campaign will kick-off later this summer.
