St. Thomas Episcopal Church Votes Unanimously to Proceed with Capital Campaign!

Medina, WA – St. Thomas Episcopal Church completed a four-week Feasibility Study, comprised of ten focus group meetings with presentation of proposal for renovations to their sanctuary and enhancing their endowment fund.  The Feasibility Study was directed by James D. Klote & Associates, Inc. (JDK&A) and provided valuable statistical data and dialogue from church members.  Two-hundred-twenty individuals attended these meetings, which were broadly representative of the parish.

The Focus Group Meetings provided valuable feedback to the Vestry and parish leaders before finalizing renovation design plans and a successful Capital Campaign. The vast majority of the respondents to a survey indicated they would financially support a Capital Campaign for renovations to make St. Thomas more welcoming, secure and sustainable long into future. In addition, nearly half of the respondents committed to volunteer their time to assist with the Capital Campaign. Immediately following the JDK&A presentation of the Final Report, the St. Thomas Vestry, voted unanimously to move forward with the Capital Campaign.

“We were very excited with the study results, which confirmed our confidence in moving forward our campaign.  This process during the study was very important,” said The Rev. Lex Breckinridge, Rector.

“I really wanted to see the results of the Feasibility Study, because we knew how important it was to hear feedback from our parish before proceeding with the Capital Campaign,” stated Greg Murray, Chief Operating Officer.

Carl Graber, JDK&A Consultant said, “The leadership, the Vestry and the Rector have done everything asked of them and the results indicate one of the most positive responses in our experience.  We anticipate a very successful campaign!”

St. Thomas Episcopal Church has asked JDK&A to assist and guide their efforts throughout the Capital Campaign, which will conclude prior to the end of the year.
