Lawrenceville, NJ – The Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville has been at the heart of the community for 320 years. Beginning August 26, a series of 12 focus group meetings were held to inform and educate congregants regarding the needs and opportunities of the church. All congregants had the opportunity to give input and feedback regarding the proposed plan to make the church even more welcoming to the community through renovations, as well as expand the facility in response to growth and future growth opportunities for their new initiative, The Community Well. The plan also includes raising funds for local and international mission work and endowment.
The meetings were both informative for the congregants as well as for the church leadership with much discussion regarding priorities and suggestions on how to best address their needs and opportunities. At the conclusion of the Focus Group Meetings, The Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville Session voted unanimously to proceed with a Capital Campaign.
“The Presbyterian Church of Lawrenceville has a long legacy of reaching out to the community and it’s tremendous to see how its current members want to continue this legacy and even expand their outreach to address some of the community’s most pressing issues through this campaign.” said Marcia Meehan, campaign consultant.
