Kansas City, MO – Hope Church has successfully completed their Readiness Assessment meetings that were conducted by James D. Klote and Associates. For years Hope Church has been looking forward to expanding their facilities to reach the needs of the local community. The Readiness Assessment meetings revealed an overwhelming majority of the church are both excited about moving forward with the proposed expansion and are willing to be active participants, moving Hope Church into the future.
A formal report was presented to Hope’s Leadership, which, after review, was voted on and approved. Hope Church will begin moving forward with James D. Klote and Associates on their capital campaign to self-fund their debt reduction and facilities transformation. “It is exciting to be a part of a church family that is unified behind their stated vision of helping seekers and skeptics to find and follow Jesus,” said Bill Rowley, Klote Campaign Consultant.
The first phase of the campaign is to pay off the existing debt of $2.3 million. The second phase will leverage the existing property and facilities by maximizing the space and increasing overall ministry capacity. Phase two includes expanding the auditorium from 450 to 800 seats at an estimated cost of $6 million. Along with a new entry and commons area, expanded office space, parking, and maintenance and repairs for $7.4 million. Expanding Hope Kids and Hope Students facilities is also included at a cost of $5.5 million. The Building Hope capital campaign’s goal is to raise $21.2 million dollars over three years.
“I am excited to see Hope Church moving forward with plans to expand the existing facilities, making more space usable for children and student ministries. With more children attending come more parents. Building Hope aims to expand both auditorium space along with the rest of the facilities to ensure effective ministry into the future,” said Phil Wilt, volunteer leader of the children’s ministries.
Hope Church will work closely with the church family, the community, and James D. Klote and Associates to undertake the capital campaign and bring their vision to fruition.
