Kansas City, MO – Hope Church launches its “Building Hope” capital campaign in partnership with James D. Klote & Associates. The kick-off event, “A Night to Remember”, was held on Friday, January 10th, and was attended by over 600 people who consider Hope their home church. Phil Wilt, Chair for “Building Hope”, announced that the goal will be to raise at least $10 million over three years. Before publicly announcing the campaign, “Building Hope” raised $4,260,226.00!
Hope Church has been looking forward to expanding its facilities to meet the local community’s needs for years. However, debt, space, and facility limitations have hindered this growth. “Building Hope” will self-fund the elimination of debt and transformation of the facilities.
“This initiative will help us lay a strong foundation for the future and leave a lasting legacy by paying off our mortgage and significantly expanding our physical capacity,” said Jason Davis, Lead Pastor.
The campaign’s first phase is to pay off the existing debt of $2.2 million. The second phase will leverage the existing property and facilities by maximizing the space and increasing overall ministry capacity. This includes expanding the auditorium from 450 to 800 seats, a new entry and commons area, expanding Hope Kids and Hope Students facilities, expanded office space, parking, and maintenance and repairs.
“We want to meet with everyone who calls Hope their home,” said Phil Wilt, lead for the “Building Hope” campaign. “These meetings get us on the same page about Hope’s growth, strategy, future, and what it looks like. I found this to be an honoring process for our membership.”
Hope Church will work closely with the church family, the community, and James D. Klote & Associates to undertake the capital campaign and bring their vision to fruition.
