Ridgefield, CT – The First Congregational Church announced a $5.5 million major project for the renovation and development of its facilities during a gala capital campaign kick-off celebration last Friday night. The capacity crowd, at the Lounsbury House in Ridgefield, learned that leadership donors already have committed to $2,819,000! The hope is to raise the remaining $2.7 million between now and mid-December when the campaign culminates.
This is truly an exciting time in the life of our church, remarks campaign co-chair Sue Glendinning. This project is the most significant undertaking in the life of the church for several decades, said campaign co-chair Dr. Stephen Mathias. We are building to serve our members and the wider community more faithfully, today and for years to come.
The church has engaged the firm of James D. Klote & Associates to assist in the effort. We are so fortunate to be working with such a truly hard-working, dedicated and committed leadership team for this campaign.
