Minneapolis, MN – First Church Board of Trustees unanimously accepted a four-week, sixteen Focus Group Feasibility Study Report, and approved proceeding with James D. Klote & Associates (JDK&A) to direct a combined Capital Campaign and Annual Pledge Campaign. The action culminated months of preparatory work by the church’s Pre-Design team which was the basis for a Vision Report to the Board of Trustees by Rev. Justin Schroeder, Senior Minister, and Rev. Jen Crow, Executive Minister. Summarizing the Vision, Rev. Schroeder stated “addressing the needed facility upgrades will truly make 3400 Dupont Avenue our home and enhance our current and future ministries.”
Mr. Eric Cooperstein, First Church’s Board Chairman, enthusiastically introduced a sixteen-member Capital Campaign Steering Committee Co-Chaired by Sofia Ali and Dan Berg with a campaign theme, Not for Ourselves Alone: Building an Inclusive Future, which focuses on four initiatives: Expanding Welcoming Hospitality, Enhancing Worship Experience, Encouraging Deeper Inclusivity, and Ensuring Future Ministries. S. J. (Skip) Schlafer, JDK&A Senior Consultant, will provide full-time resident service to this dynamic congregation.
