Church Raises Four Times More Than Previous Capital Campaign!

Gilbert, AZ – Underneath the desert sun on November 17, 2019, over 1,100 people turned out to Celebrate at an outdoor Sunday Morning Courtyard Celebration for the “Live the Journey” Generosity Campaign at Christ’s Greenfield Lutheran Church & School (CGLCS). The morning reached its sizzling peak with the announcement that over $3,100,000 had already been pledged during the First Two Phases from only 20% of its membership – nearly four times more than its previous capital campaign, which became $3.2M the next morning.

“Live the Journey” will support Senior Pastor Tim Ahlman’s 3E Journey Projects: mission expansion, leadership empowerment, and experience enhancements. As the morning wore on, the many canopies over covered tables and many food selections set such a spectacular scene for members to gather and visit with one another. Additional goals of “Live the Journey” include a multi-use gymnasium and additional classrooms for the school; a Unite Leadership Center and Hospitality Center; debt reduction; La Mesa Resource Center; and multi-site worship expansion.
