Church Leaders Vote Unanimously to Proceed with $10 Million Capital Campaign

Mount Dora, FL  – James D. Klote & Associates, Inc. (JDK&A) is pleased to announce that the leadership of theCross congregation, its executive team, staff, and Board of Directors has unanimously approved moving forward with JDK&A to assist and guide their efforts for the $10 million Capital Campaign.

The property has been identified, a contract has been put in on the land and facility drawings have been done in preparation.  During this process, theCross contacted JDK&A to do a Readiness Assessment concerning the feasibility of pursuing a Capital Campaign.

Beginning in mid-September of 2019 the Readiness Assessment was conducted consisting of twenty-five focus group meetings, personal interviews and follow up discussions regarding the plan for the purchase of the property and Phase 1 of the campus project.

The meetings were informative for the congregation and provided excellent input and feedback for the leadership with excellent discussion regarding the proposed path forward.

At the completion of the focus groups and after reviewing the Readiness Assessment the leadership voted to enter into the capital campaign.  Lead Pastor Zach Zehnder stated, “We believe through Vision 2023, the name of Jesus will be more greatly magnified, disciples more greatly mobilized, and the church more greatly multiplied.  theCross has an incredible opportunity to change the lives of so many people and we are stepping into that opportunity fully believing, trusting, and leaning on a God who has always been faithful to us.”
