Madison, MS – After concluding a successful feasibility study the Chapel of the Cross met to further discuss how to proceed. After reading and considering all of the comments that were made during the feasibility study the Vestry made the unanimous decision to move forward with a capital campaign.
The Vestry was particularly impressed with the overwhelmingly positive response to the feasibility study, and took note of the two words that surfaced most frequently during this process: “people” and “growth.” There was a clear consensus that the parish has aspirations to grow, to welcome new members, and to share this marvelous church family with our neighbors. To facilitate these aspirations, it is important to move forward with a capital campaign.
After the vestry’s unanimous decision, Rector Ben Robertson was reminded of a line from St. Paul’s First Letter to the Corinthians, “For we are God’s servants, working together; you are God’s field, God’s building,” (1 Corinthians 3:9).
James D. Klote, President of James D. Klote and Associates, commented, “The feedback from these Focus Group Meetings has been overwhelmingly positive. We are excited to continue to aid Chapel of the Cross as they move forward with their campaign.”
