The consultant has done a wonderful job, alongside our rector, in finding and motivating people to run the $1 million campaign. That is obviously the first step in making good things happen. The second and equally important step is to give those people a new and more forceful way of looking at the task before them.
That’s where the consultant shone; in the focus groups and subsequently, he emphasized that our campaign was really about ourselves and our relationship to the church at this time in our lives. For all of us who then went out to visit parishioners, that was the message we carried: think and pray about what’s most important to you right now and in the years ahead — isn’t that what you want to invest in?
So in the consultant we found a sincere friend, an efficient leader, and a tireless co-worker. For that we would are very grateful.
