Our Klote consultant is clearly a man of God whose gentle and loving demeanor has been a gift to us throughout these past seven months.
Since first arriving, our Klote consultant has fit in to our church and ministry very naturally. As you know, he shares a gentle demeanor that has proven very helpful for us. He has a servant’s heart and a genuine faith. As a result, his work with us was not that of simply being a paid consultant, but it was clear to all of us that this work was a clear part of his ministry. Never did he come off as gruff or impatient, though through this campaign, he had multiple opportunities and justification to do so! He always took the high road, was always careful to talk with me and our staff, and continually pushed us along toward our goal.I appreciate your particular selection of our consultant for our congregation. A high pressure, pushy presence would simply not have worked as well from my point of view. I have found that he pushed as hard as he could and helped us to do the same. You know better than I that fund raising consistently strikes a delicate balance. We want to push as hard as we can but it is all too easy to go across a line and do more harm than good. I feel that he helped us to stay right on that line, perhaps a little beyond it to be as aggressive as our church would tolerate.
Our Klote consultant is clearly a man of God whose gentle and loving demeanor has been a gift to us throughout these past seven months. We will miss him very much but hope and pray that he continues to share his gifts and ministry with multiple other congregations as we seek to find those resources to do God’s great work!
