I am writing to provide feedback on our campaign so far. My wife and I are two of the four Co-Chairs of our campaign which we call the “Abundantly More” Campaign based on John 10:10.  We have served in numerous positions and on boards in the past, but this is our first time to lead a Stewardship Campaign.  When first asked to consider serving in this way our reaction was reluctant to say the least.  However after meeting with the consultant, learning the process that Klote & Associates uses, and praying for guidance we decided we wanted to be part of this.  Our challenges are significant but the way the consultant outlined the program we definitely felt that it would be successful and would serve St. John well.  We experienced a major flood a year ago and lost the use of three of the six buildings on our campus including the main church office.  While we did have insurance the congregation voted to take out a loan to not only rebuild but improve our facilities for the future.  We also hope to pay off the debt from the construction of a new worship center completed in 2011.  We are now a few weeks away for the formal Kick-Off of the campaign and our progress in the Advance Phase is impressive.  The Lord has richly blessed St. John for over 160 years and He continues today.  Klote & Associates and the consultant are part of the blessings we experience each day.  Having the consultant with us full time makes a big difference.  He is with us at each step.  His knowledge, experience and guidance have been invaluable.  The campaign has proved to be more than just an effort to rebuild and pay off debt.  We hope to also build and provide for an even better future.  We have come to realize this is not just a stewardship campaign, we are all learning in concrete ways how the Lord is working in our lives.  Thanks for the consultant and the great work that you do.
