Trinity Lutheran Church Announces a Great Beginning to an Immeasurably More Campaign!

Lisle, IL – The Triune God — Father, Son and Holy Spirit was worshipped today by Trinity Lutheran Church of Lisle, South Naperville and in Galewood Chicago.  The four worship sites and seven services drew over 900 worshippers.  A video announcement of the results of Phase I of a III Phase Financial 5-year Campaign. The mission starts in Chicago’s Galewood neighborhood and in the growing South Naperville community, to perform maintenance and improvements at the existing Kimberly Way and Green Trails sites in Lisle and position the congregation to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ for years to come.   

Themed “Immeasurably More,” the campaign recognizes Almighty God’s power as expressed in Ephesians 3:20-21, “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen”

The video, led by Trinity’s Senior Pastor Mark Schulz, featured an announcement that a small number of members have already pledged or given as much as the last campaign’s entire congregation did. This is the end of Phase I and the congregation has II Phases to go. 

Mark Schulz said, “The campaign is going very well, we just have a lot more work to do!”  Members were heard saying “this is a very exciting announcement!”

The worshippers joined together with loud and passionate voices to sing to the Lord.  A hallmark of Trinity congregation, choirs, musical ensembles and worship bands came together at their respective sites with all the people of God to sing.

Afterward, the people of God fellowshipped together, renewing friendships with those from various services, and encouraging one another in faith and service to God.  The campaign will run through October with the hope of personally visiting every household in the congregation.  There are 55 Volunteer Visitors calling on members and scheduling their visits.

Trinity has selected James Klote & Associates (JDK&A) to direct the campaign.  “The enthusiasm was so high, that additional folks who had pledged were volunteering to help make the visits,” said Glendon Smith, Consultant for JDK&A.
