Arlington, VA – Rock Spring Congregational United Church of Christ in has been a place of community and worship in the Arlington area for over 100 years. Over the last several weeks the congregation has engaged in a time of thoughtful discussion and discourse through Focus Group meetings as part of a Readiness Assessment being conducted by James D. Klote & Associates. These meetings gave the congregation time to consider moving forward with a capital campaign to renew and revitalize its historic campus by presenting a preliminary concept of the renewal in a small group setting.
Head Pastor, Kathy Dwyer said, “The Focus Groups we have recently held have helped built momentum and enthusiasm for our campus renewal efforts. This process has us well poised to begin the campaign.”
On Sunday, January 25th the congregation voted unanimously to move ahead with the campaign that will raise funds to renew the campus’s sanctuary, library (the oldest active library in Arlington, VA), and meeting halls.
Rock Spring has asked James D. Klote & Associates, Inc to assist and guide their campaign efforts. Jesse A. Winters, James D. Klote & Associates Campaign Director assigned to the site, said, This is a great opportunity for the congregation to engage more individuals and families in the Arlington community and broaden the outreach of the congregation.
