Anchor Baptist Church Kicks-off “Forward to Freedom” Capital Stewardship Campaign

Lexington, KY – Anchor Baptist Church in Lexington, KY kicked off its “Forward to Freedom” Capital Stewardship Campaign with a celebration filled with food, speakers, and comradery. Senior Pastor Carl Peters shared God’s vision for Anchor Baptist Church to over 200 members and regular attendees. Key individuals in the founding of Anchor, Gary and Marty Shaw and Mike Bruestle, each spoke at the Kick-off event. They emphasized God’s hand in the establishment of Anchor and God’s continued work at Anchor Baptist Church. The event’s keynote speaker, founding Pastor Paul Sisk, also gave an inspirational message. The highlight of the event came as the amount raised was revealed to the guests; it was met with surprise and delight as it was almost twice the amount that has ever been raised in a capital campaign.

Excited for what is to come, President Jim Klote of James D. Klote & Associates commented, “We are delighted to be part of the important history of Anchor Baptist Church and in particular this campaign. Raising necessary funds to assist this congregation in providing important ministries in the community is important to all of us in our firm. Since Anchor Baptist’s founding fifteen years ago, they have been an integral part of the community and look forward to continuing that legacy with the help of the “Forward to Freedom” Capital Stewardship Campaign.
